City of Veils, Zoe Ferraris: This is an amazing story that weaves through the lives of 3 women in modern day Saudi Arabia – one recently relocated from the US, one struggling to follow her dreams in one of the most conservative Muslim states and one recently found brutally murdered.  Ferraris gives you an informative look into the life of Saudi woman, while keeping you engaged with a page turning story. I read it in less than two days and was so sad when it was over.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Truman Capote: I know, this is an old book. But, I just recently read it because a friend told me that I reminded her of Holly Golightly. Though I’ll admit I didn’t see many similarities, it was a fun read and I would definitely recommend picking it up – if you haven’t already, of course.
